Aztlan Underground navigates time and space between
the contemporary and the ancient to create music that reveals the unrestrained
voices of indigenous peoples of the world. Through their own personal journey of
enlightenment, they uncover the raw, painful, solitude of oppressed people
transforming it with unbridled energy and emotion into their hard-hitting
musical style.
For nearly 20 years, Aztlan Underground has cultivated a
grassroots audience across the world from Europe to Australia and, most
importantly, the Americas, from Canada to Venezuela. Aztlan Underground shocks
and awes foreign audiences with their respect for the ancient ways and songs of
ancestors mixed with the modern, industrial sounds of today. They have performed
with every socially important act from Rage Against the Machine, Manu Chao, to
Fermin Muguruza, and Dead Prez. Aztlan Underground remains true to their name
and beliefs by playing political rallies, underground venues, and social
conscious venues.
Also performing the psychedelic samba funk fusion;
Benjam�n Anaya & Los Extra�os Unidos and Aztec/Mexica Dance honoring
Tonantzin (La Virgen de Guadalupe), Ye Xolotl a Mexica Drum Ensamble and DJ
Pardo (world fusion).

una banda emblem�tica del paisaje musical de California en los �ltimos 20 a�os
gracias a su mezcla de punk, con rasposas guitarras el�ctricas, al cual le
incorporan instrumentos mexicanos prehisp�nicos de percusi�n como teponaztles y
huehuetls, entre otros.
Aztl�n Underground contin�a con su
experimentaci�n sonora que la caracteriz� desde su formaci�n, en la cual mezclan
elementos de punk, hip-hop, rock, funk, jazz y m�sica ind�gena.

a la Celebraci�n a Tonantzin: Benjam�n Anaya & Los Extra�os Unidos (samba
funk fusion), Danza Azteca/Mexica, Ye-Xolotl (ensemble de percusion mexica) y DJ
Pardo (world fusion).
