Latino-Based Retail Stores in AMERICA
There's a new Store/Gallery (Art, Folk Art, Books, and Clothing) in East Los Angeles, California called "Teocintli" which means the "Sacred Maize" in the Nahuatl language of the Aztecs. The maize represents our culture and he wants to plant the seeds of indigenous culture in the fertile ground of the young minds from the local high school (Roosevelt High School)and the Boyle Heights area in general. The store is owned by two local artists/activists from East Los Angeles, Nico (Famed Stencil artist) and Mayra.
