Latin Rap Conference 2005 Photo Review

(San Diego, California) - Latin Rap Conference 2005 was a tremendous success! Once again, thank you to all of the artists, labels, DJs, managers, and media companies that supported the event with your attendance and participation.

LRC 2005 was held at Harrahs Rincon Casino and Resort, just outside San Diego, California. As the second installment of LRC events, this convergence was amazing from beginning to end.

Thanks to Fuerte Group, Rich Isaacson, Jerry Blair and Super O, for continued dedication and support and to Mediavison for their efforts in promoting the event on the East Coast. With artists like Voltio, T-Weaponz, Don Dinero, Notch, Sucio, Bimbo and the whole Chosen Few crew representing the East Coast (New York, Florida) and Puerto Rico, the stage for national cohesion was set. Representing the West Coast, we had artists such as Mellow Man Ace, The Psycho Realm, Lil One, DJ Ace of Rhyme Poetic Mafia, Sinful-El Pecador, Don Cisco and many more.

Toy from Control Machete and EL Pecador / Sinful

Chingo Bling from Houston, Texas

The seminar discussions were informative and inspiring. Jerry Heller, of Ruthless Records fame, sat on two panels and offered his 30+ years of industry knowledge. Riggs Morales from Shady Records

LRC 2005 was also pleased to welcome Riggs Morales, from Shady Records, who sat as a panelist for our seminar on Major Labels and Indy Distribution and also blessed our organization as a Special Key Note Speaker. Riggs Morales spoke to the LRC attendees about his personal struggle to become Director of A&R at one of Hip-Hops leading labels and how he, as a Latino, is coping with the PROs and CONs of the major label aspects of the music industry. The crowd was left in awe and appreciation.

LRC 2005 was also honored to have Special Guest Speaker and Activist, Raul Aguirre present at our event. Mr. Aguirre gave an inspiring and entertaining presentation on Latino Culture and how it is becoming the New American Pop Culture. All of the attendees were moved by his words and passion.

Mellow Man Ace representing for all "L"atinos

The shows at LRC 2005 were off the hook as well. Lil One and Sage ripped the stage. Voltio, Notch and Bimbo moved the crowd. Don Dinero brought that East Coast flavor. Immortal Technique hit the stage and killed itwith the entire crowd at his mercy, feeling his words and incredibly powerful performance. And last but not least, the legendary Mellow Man Ace brought that veteran juice to the stage. His show inspired a freestyle session including all the emcees at LRC 2005 on stage rockin the mic together with him. It was a once in a lifetime experience.

Overall, LRC 2005 brought a new and stronger commitment from all who attended and created a more powerful bond between the artists and labels from all over the world. There is no doubt that the LRC organization is poised for the accomplishment of complete unity and empowerment for the Latin Rap and Reggaeton music community. Stay tuned for our next event LRC: New York, coming in the fall of 2005.
